At Harvest Bible College our vision is to transform the world through witness, faith in Christ, innovation and action.
Harvest Bible College was established in 2002 as a non-profit Charitable Corporation in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We are recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities in Toronto to offer theological, Bible and ministerial training both in a classroom setting (on-campus) and through distance learning education (off-campus).
Harvest Bible College is interdenominational founded with an apostolic vision that is preparing and releasing labourers into His harvest with the mandate: “Go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19). Our purpose is to provide basic training and continuing education opportunities for lay persons, ministers, bible teachers, Christian workers and God called men and women who are ready to share a common commitment to know Christ better, to understand His Word and to put what they learnt into practice in touching the lives of those in their spheres of influence. This task is achieved with a positive commitment to the Bible as the final authority in all matters. Our basis of fellowship with other believers is the Cross of Christ for our Salvation.
OUR MISSION:
Harvest Bible College is dedicated to the pursuit of biblical truth and to prepare committed Christians to walk with God closely, to grow in grace and knowledge, to share their faith effectively and to serve the church and world in a Christ-like manner wherever the Lord may lead.
OUR VISION:
At Harvest Bible College our vision is to transform the world
through witness, faith in Christ, innovation and action.
OUR PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION:
As an independent private college which is thoroughly biblical in its philosophy of education, Harvest Bible College aim is a constantly maturing relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The principal means by which one gains a knowledge of God is through the written Word of God, the Bible. Every student majors in the study of Scripture. Since the Scripture teach that the Holy Spirit is the one who will lead us into all truth, the study of Scripture must be a spiritual discipline as well as an academic discipline (John 16:13). It is our belief that the Scripture not only provides the content and the goals for much of our curriculum but it informs the paradigm of our curriculum as well. Therefore, the study of Scripture must not be seen as an end in itself, but as a means to a greater knowledge of and a greater devotion to Jesus Christ. The ministry of Christ was marked by compassion and practicality. He was able to bring the truth and power of God and the needs of people together. We feel our philosophy will equip our students to do the same.
